Better Information Webinars

Free webinars to give you the skills you need to produce better information.

Whether you're a lawyer, a community worker or a communications professional, it's important that the information you produce is clear, easy to understand and accessible. Creating better information gives more people the opportunity to meaningfully engage with the law, which leads to better justice.

Our better information webinars connect you to communications experts to equip you with the skills you need to produce interesting and engaging information. Previous sessions have focused on web design, podcasting, social media and design thinking.

Peer-to-peer education: working with community on tough legal problems

In 2021, the Northern Community Legal Centre in partnership with Dallas Neighbourhood House, conducted the Hume Family Violence Peer Education Project.

The project brought together 12 women from diverse cultural backgrounds – all residents of Hume – to participate in a series of family violence training sessions.

On completion of the training, the women worked with filmmakers to script and produce the Take the First Step, a video encouraging other women in abusive relationships to seek help.

During this webinar, project participants discuss their experiences working on this campaign and reflect on participation in the training.
