We’ve been consulting with past General Grant recipients to find out what lessons they learned from delivering funded projects.

After speaking with 20 organisations we found many organisations had similar experiences and suggestions on how to deliver a successful project. We consolidated these findings in the “Lessons from Practice grant review to provide other organisations with tips and insights to consider when planning, running and completion of their community legal education and information projects.

The review includes five key factors that support project success and a range of practical tips for many types of projects. Included in this are case studies of projects, tips to build effective partnerships and information on reaching audiences.

These insights come from funded projects, however there is information that could be useful for all types of projects that are developed in the legal assistance field.

We hope that these shared insights can help organisations create long lasting and sustainable resources.
