Professor Jeannie Marie Paterson
Jeannie is a Professor of Law and the Director of the Centre for AI and Digital Ethics at the University of Melbourne. Her teaching and research focus consumer and data protection law in the context of new technologies, such as AI chatbots, potential for fraud and erosion of truth through deep fakes. Jeannie is an affiliate researcher with the Melbourne Social Equity Institute and the Centre of Excellence for Automated Decision Making and Society, as well as a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Law.
Simon Goodrich
Simon is Co-Founder of Portable, a purpose-driven digital design agency with a mission to address social need and policy failure in the community using human-centred design and technology. He is a Senior Honorary Fellow at Melbourne School of Government and Melbourne Law School, where he also lectures masters students on Innovation and Design. He is Australian Ambassador for the New York-based International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, dubbed the Oscars for Online.
