What are Metropolitan Law Talks?
VCE Legal Studies students from across metropolitan Melbourne are invited to attend a day of presentations delivered by senior judiciary members on topic directly related to the Legal Studies curriculum. In the past, presenters have included the County Court Juries Commissioner, the Victorian Ombudsman and university law school professors.
Who can attend?
All VCE Legal Studies students in metropolitan Melbourne are eligible to attend Metropolitan Law Talks. Priority early registration is given to students attending disadvantaged schools as identified by the ICSEA.
Metropolitan Law Talks occur in venues around the city and these venues dictate the number of students who can attend. We can usually accommodate up to 200 students in each session.
